The Healthy Humboldt Coalition

The Healthy Humboldt Coalition is a cooperative effort of individuals, business owners, farmers, and community organizations working to preserve our quality of life, protect our environment, and strengthen our local economy.

We seek to maintain Humboldt’s rural, ‘small town’ character, and to preserve the wild and working open spaces which provide both an important part of our economic base and the scenic backdrop for our communities. We share the common goal of creating a truly sustainable relationship between our natural environment and our economy.

Achieving this vision requires thoughtful planning and effective County policies. Our Coalition is working for a County General Plan update that will protect community values while providing certainty and predictability for builders.
