What is a Healthy Humboldt?

Most people in Humboldt County hope to maintain Humboldt’s rural, ‘small town’ character, and to preserve the wild and working open spaces which provide both an important part of our economic base and the scenic backdrop for our communities. We share the common goal of creating a truly sustainable relationship between our natural environment and our economy.

    * Protecting open space and working landscapes
    * Promoting public health for families and children
    * Focusing new development in existing service areas
    * Meeting, but not exceeding, population growth targets
    * Staying the course of the 2004 Guiding Principles

It's up to us to speak up for this vision and ensure that the General Plan Update provides the blueprint for a future that is healthy for us all. You can help by getting involved today!
